Our Beloved Director, Mr. Peter L. Mehegan
Mr. Mehegan had his acting debut on the stage of Memorial Hall in the Saint Paul's School production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, in 1962. He was a fairy. IN fact, he was the irritating fairy that was shining his flashlight in the audience's eyes, until he met the disapproving eyes of his parents... and he learned to be very good.

Since then, being on or around the stage and infecting others with the stage's magic have been his passions. In college, he appeared, ironically, as Thisby in A Midsummer Night's Dream, in what was the first ever production by the American College in Paris. He went on from there to work on-stage and off, through college and community productions. He was recognized for performances on community stage as Thomas Jefferson in 1776, Emile de Becque in Rogers & Hammerstein's South Pacific, and George in Neil Simon's Chapter Two.

He has directed plays ever since he started teaching in Jefferson, Ohio in 1978. AIDA will be his twenty-fifth stage production, his eighteenth here at PA.
